In the autumn of 2014, Jeremy y, a ten-year veteran of Microsoft and part-time writer, moved his family to the UK to tackle a new work assignment for his employer. His family were in equal measure thrilled and intimidated by the possibilities this adventure had to offer. They were supposed to be gone three to five years. They returned eleven months later.
Life, is never predictable. But we rarely take the time to explore our observations of the world as it passes in a flurry of this, that and the other. This is why Jeremy decided, after a month of living in London to document on Facebook one arbitrary observation a day, for a year. He initially set himself this task as an exercise in creativity and rumination, but eventually evolved into something more emotionally cathartic and transcendent.
Living up to its titular themes, ‘Ramblings’ explores everything from the complexities of parenthood and the machinations of friendship to the joy of pizza delivery and the existentialism of hotel living. Join Jeremy on a journey that is at times funny, insightful, touching, informative and sometimes just plain crazy.

Jeremy Storey’s Ramblings are at once insightful, funny, wise, heartfelt and wistful. He allows us to get inside his head in an unassuming litany of daily vignettes that remind us of our own experiences – good and bad. Most folks have a longing to put their daily lives into a meaningful context. Jeremy’s Ramblings give us a glimpse of what that could look like. A promising and creative young writer, I expect more to follow from Jeremy.Being from a generation once removed from Storey’s, I’d prefer to see less use of the “F” word, and closer editing for some grammatical errors. (Tow the line ?) How about “toe”. Nothing serious, but detracts from the message.
Still all stars for this outing.

Fun read!
Entertaining, funny and tender. An insight into the everyday confusion of someone who's loyalties reside on both sides of the pond.
Insightful and a great read.
It's random; it rambles; More importantly, Jeremy writes with the voice of a thoughtful author you don't get tired of after an entire year looking into his life.
He is unapologetically random in his ramblings, which provides the reader with an authentic experience! His stories are a whitty reminder to take a moment to appreciate the nuances of life! Highly recommend.
I like this kind of writing. Good way to get your mind out of gear for awhile and just enjoy
